quick 'n easy step 2:

•LEDs have polarity (+/- ends) and only work in one direction. Find the longer leg of the LED.
That is the positive end or anode. The shorter leg is the negative end or cathode.

•The battery holder has a +/- end too. The tab that connects to the metal arm that crosses
the battery holder is the positive end.

•With the needle-nose pliers, twist the longer leg (positive end) of the LED tightly through
and around the hole on the positive end of the battery holder.
